WTF…Now I have seen everything. HUH..there’s no code here. DA it’s called the National Electrical Code. I give up, I’ve been a Master Electrician for over thirty years. I’m gonna buy a hot dog stand.
First of all thats MC cable not BX… Second there are DC approved wire specifically used for solar panel installations. Third the MC cable is not water tight and should not be used on roofs! Hire a Qualified Electrician not some handyman!!
@cscarll
this is his own house…..lol
@vipermax11
i agree with that, what a fruit this guy is.
anybody who follows what this guy just did is a frigging loon.
gee i think that what they make water proof boxes for? and water proof wire nuts.
the first time it rains and you have to be on the roof and this is shorting on the water you’ll be dead.
This fella better be careful. I remember a dude a wile back, was heyawin & hollerin all about SOLAR Power this!! & SolerpOwer that!! and the next thing you know they were just sweeping up some black ash… all that was left of him!
This guy better be careful…he could wind up going off like a roman candle in front of the whole neighbourhood.
What village you from – open splice- wrong cable- this is how fire’s start’s i’ll call a electrician !
This is a total joke. If you do it like this you will most likely have problems. This is why we have the National Electric Code.
here is the playlist for the series just click my screen name makes it easy for beginners to get your feet wet with solar..

I’ll bet this ‘expert’ is the low bidder. NABCEP, my friend.
Dont be scared hermando..
take responsibility for your own life just wire up some panels and get the lights on…. get off the grid and out of your moms basement
This is easy, safe (unless you fall off the roof) and fun
